Sue Beattie - Staff governor for hospital staff
Sue has more than 30 years of experience working in the emergency department. She has a strong commitment to good patient care and looking after staff wellbeing.
During her career, she has always looked for ways to improve patients' experience and to help patients move smoothly through the department. As a nurse manager she understands the challenges in the healthcare system and knows how important clear communication is between staff and leaders.
She cares deeply about patient safety, staff engagement and making the hospital a better place for people with additional needs. She believes that by working together with staff, patients and the governing board, the Council of Governors can create a place that supports new ideas, openness and ongoing improvement.
As a staff governor, she will work hard to speak up for her colleagues and make sure their ideas and concerns are listened to. She is committed to a future where high-quality care and happy, supported staff go hand in hand.
