Dr Emily Graves

Dr Graves is a Consultant Haematologist.

A Consultant Haematologist looks after people with problems with the blood. 

Dr Graves treats many types of blood conditions. She has a special interest in:

• Myeloma (a type of cancer that affects plasma cells in the blood and can weaken bones and cause illness)
• Paraproteinaemias (conditions where the blood has an abnormal protein made by certain blood cells)
• HHT (a genetic condition that causes fragile blood vessels, leading to frequent nosebleeds and bleeding).  

She also runs a paediatric haematology clinic, where she cares for children with non-cancer blood conditions like Sickle Cell Anaemia (a genetic blood condition where red blood cells are hard and curved, which can cause pain, infections and tiredness).
