Having a baby on the Neonatal Unit can be a very stressful time. You may have to deal with a lot of uncertainty. This might continue after your baby is discharged from hospital.

Support is available if you need it. All families on the Sunderland Royal Hospital neonatal unit can access support from psychology.

Psychologists are trained to help people understand how they feel, think and act. They use talking therapies to try and reduce distress and help people cope.
