Calling local Mums and Dads

Have you had a baby in the last five years? Or are you a representative of local parents who are current service users?

Would you like to help improve maternity services in your local area?

South Tyneside and Sunderland Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) is looking for 2 Service User Co-Chairs.

South Tyneside and Sunderland MVP is a NHS collaborative working group: a team of women, and their families, commissioners and providers (including midwives, doctors, nurses) working together to review and contribute to the development of high quality local maternity care.

The MVP works with the Maternity services that are being provided to local pregnant and new parents and recommends changes and improvements where these are needed. The MVP work together to co-design and co-produce any service developments, innovations and improvements together. The MVP also acts as a way of passing on the views of people who use maternity services in the South Tyneside and Sunderland area to those who provide them.

The Co-Chairs position receives remuneration for the hours worked, which are negotiable. We expect the role to require approx. 1 - 2 days per month
