Counselling Support

The service offers time limited counselling with an experienced BACP registered counsellor. Counselling provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a trained professional about your issues and concerns.

  • A counsellor will help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so that you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of others.
  • A counsellor will not give you their opinions or advice or prescribe medication. They will help you find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping with your problems.

Clinical Psychology

The service offers time limited assessment and interventions provided by a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist.

Clinical Psychologists have extensive training in understanding and assessing a range of psychological difficulties. Together we try to understand what may have contributed to you experiencing the difficulties you are and what the most suitable form of help may be.

Often psychologists are trained in various types of therapy, as well as having a broad understanding of different psychological theories and approaches.
