We provide health care services for looked after children across Sunderland. Weekdays between 9am – 5pm.
Clinics are held in our Children’s Centre in a special clinic area. It is designed by looked after young people. There are waiting areas for children and young people to relax in before the appointment.

Sunderland Children’s Centre is located on Durham Road next to Sunderland College’s Bede Campus.
By Car
You can access Sunderland Children’s Centre via the A690. There are a limited number of parking spaces outside the Children’s Centre and a pay on exit system.
By Bus

How to pay
There is a payment machine situated in the main reception area. It accepts card and cash payments. There is also a text payment system available.
Blue Badge Holders
Car parking is free if you have a blue badge. There are car parking spaces reserved for blue badge holders on our Hospital Sites. To park for free you must register your details. Once registered you can park on any of the Trust sites free of charge.

If you use more than one vehicle, please register each one.
Please ensure that your details are registered with us when you park at one of our Trust sites. Or you could receive a parking charge notice (PCN).
ParkingEye
Car parking is monitored using the ParkingEye system. It uses technology to capture number plates of all vehicles entering and exiting Trust sites.
The following information is recorded:
- Time of vehicle entering and exiting Trust site.
- Any payment made using the pay machines or Pay by Phone service.
- Photo of vehicle entering Trust site.
Parking Charge Notice (PCN)
A parking charge notice will be issued to motorists who are in breach of our car park terms and conditions. This includes:
- Parking in an unauthorised parking bay.
- Non-payment on departure or if you do not pay the correct tariff.
- Not having the correct permit.
We appreciate our car parks can be very busy, especially at peak times. If you feel that you have received an unfair parking charge, you can appeal direct to Parking Eye. You will need the details on your parking charge notice.
