Our Trust has held its first ever Healthcare Support Worker Conference.
The event was hosted at the Clarion Hotel, Boldon.
The celebration gathered 180 Healthcare Support Workers for a day of learning and development.
There were speakers from NHS Englan amongst others, including a patient story from Peter Bennetjs, a patient with sight-loss who has worked for a number of years with STSFT to improve services for patients with sight-loss.
He recently co-produced sight-loss awareness training and delivered a very emotive and impactful session.
There was an exhibition area with immunisation teams giving out flu and covid vaccines as well as screening teams, research and innovation, shared decision-making councils and many, many more.
The conference was opened by our Chief Executive Ken Bremner and Chair Allison Thompson, the theme was well-being and a great day was had by all.
