City Hospitals Sunderland is holding a Health and Wellbeing event for cancer patients and their families / carers in Sunderland on Thursday 21 June, 10am-4pm at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland Royal Hospital Cancer Services has organised the free event (lunch included), which is supported by the ‘living with and beyond cancer programme’ endorsed by Macmillan and NHS England.

The event is aimed to improve the quality of life for cancer patients following diagnosis and treatment and to provide advice and support on a range of topics including finance, healthy eating, emotional wellbeing, cancer screening and how your GP can support following a cancer diagnosis.

There will be a series of talks organised by the cancer team at City Hospitals Sunderland, supported also by charitable organisations, local GP’s, and Sunderland City Council, along with a patient who will share their personal experience of living with and beyond cancer.
