Nurses seeking to develop their careers with South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust could leave the next recruitment event with a job offer in their hand.
Interviews will be held at the event on Thursday, October 3rd, at Haven Court, in the grounds of South Tyneside District Hospital, for applicants shortlisted for staff nurse posts which are currently being advertised and, if successful, they will receive a conditional job offer on the day. The link to the ad is https://www.jobs.nhs.uk/xi/vacancy/?vac_ref=915694288 and the deadline for applications is Friday, September 13th.
There is an open invitation for registered nurses and third year adult nursing students due to qualify early in 2020 to attend the event between 10am and 2pm on October 3rd to find out about the various clinical areas, to chat with staff and to discuss the opportunities available.
The Trust provides a range of hospital services to a local community of around 430,000 residents, as well as an increasing range of more specialised services outside South Tyneside and Sunderland. It also provides a range of community services across South Tyneside, Sunderland and Gateshead, with particular focus on community nursing, family care and therapy. Hospital services are provided from Sunderland Royal Hospital, South Tyneside District Hospital, St Benedict’s Hospice and Centre for Specialist Palliative Care in Sunderland and from the specialist Sunderland Eye Infirmary, with around 1,200 beds in total.
Melanie Johnson, the Trust’s Executive Director of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals, said: “This is a very exciting time to be part of our growing organisation. We are looking to recruit staff with the right skills and values to join our innovative and dynamic teams in delivering nationally-recognised, high quality, compassionate care for the people we serve. They need to be enthusiastic and motivated and to have a passion for life-long learning and, in return, we can promise them respect and encouragement and openness and honesty in everything we do.”
