The Sunderland MRI Department at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust has been recognised nationally after being awarded the Society of Radiographers Northern Team of the Year 2025.
This prestigious recognition was presented at the national awards ceremony in London, celebrating the team’s outstanding commitment to patient care, innovation and professional excellence.
The Team of the Year Award recognises departments that have demonstrated innovative practices to improve service delivery or radiography education, shown exceptional multi-professional collaboration, and remained committed to delivering outstanding patient care. Sunderland MRI exemplified all of these qualities, earning recognition on a national stage.
Team Lead Danielle Neilson shared her thoughts:
