Our Macmillan Personalised Care Team has been shortlisted in the Patient Experience Network National Awards.

The awards are the only accolades to recognise best practice in patient experience. This is across all areas of health and social care in the UK.

The team developed a model to personalise care and support for patients following a cancer diagnosis, this is included the Cancer Information Hub - a multilingual digital patient-centred platform.

It is helping offer accessible and inclusive healthcare.

It has been set up on the needs of our patients and to help support their long-term health.

The team is pleased to announce it is a finalist in the following categories:

  • Personalisation of Care. This focuses on projects, systems and programmes aimed at meeting people's needs. They are physical, emotional and spiritual. It is about treating the patient as an individual.
  • Cancer Experience of Care Award. This category is in partnership with Macmillan and NHS England. It recognises and promotes the use of data or other insight. This includes the Cancer Patient Experience Survey. It helps drive and deliver measurable improvements in patient experience.
