Head and neck services

Our Head and Neck service is based at Sunderland Royal Hospital, Ward C33, where our aim is to provide safe, excellent patient-centred care. We have 25 beds and look after patients with Head and Neck Cancer, Oral Maxillofacial and Ear, Nose and Throat conditions.  We are also the hub for elective and emergency admissions for both of these specialities.  

Ward C33 has recently had a major investment to ensure it has the most up to date facilities.  The Ward comprises a High Dependency area, a Low Dependency and has its own integrated Ambulatory Care Unit. We are proud to have a dedicated multidisciplinary team comprised of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, dieticians and pharmacists, all working together to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients.
