Sunderland doctor appointed Queen’s Honorary Surgeon
Army Reserve Colonel and Sunderland Royal Hospital Consultant Vascular Surgeon Ben Banerjee has been appointed as Queen’s Honorary Surgeon. The honour is in recognition of his distinguished military service which began 30 years ago when he joined the Army Reserves while still a medical student at Newcastle University.
