Farmborough Court Intermediate Care Service is a 42 bed facility in Sunderland. It is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The service is free of charge up to for up to six weeks.

It helps:

  • To prevent hospital admissions that are not needed.
  • Patients to leave hospital if they no longer need to stay in.
  • People to regain the skills and confidence they need to return home.

 Care provided at Farmborough Court
Our team works with lots of health and social care professionals. These include:

  • Community rehabilitation teams
  • Adult Social Care
  • GPs
  • Nurses
  • Pharmacists.

We work with you to make sure that the support meets your needs. We focus on setting goals that are meaningful to you.

Support is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. This helps to keep you safe and well cared for.

Regaining independence
We provide a relaxed environment where you can regain the skills needed to return home. We do everything possible to support your independence. We encourage you to carry out similar activities to what you would do if you were living at home. There are also opportunities for you to socialise if you would like to.

Visiting
We encourage family, friends, and relatives to visit during your stay at any time.
