We are proud of the fact that a number of our colleagues also serve as reserves across all of our armed forces. Our Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development is our Armed Forces Champion and our policies reflect our support by our reservist colleagues with benefits such as paid leave to undertake annual training exercises and tours.
We working with organisations such as Step into Health to provide career pathways and training for members of the military who want to move into a career in the NHS. Our staff regularly take part in field exercises to help with team building and to understand and support the vital work that reservists do.
Veteran Aware
As part of our commitment to recognise the contribution of our veterans, we will provide them with priority access to NHS hospital care for any condition related to their service (subject to the clinical needs of others).
We work alongside charities such as the Defence Welfare Service and Blind Veterans UK to provide support and encourage job applications from veterans of all ages.
