Dermatology

The dermatology service at Sunderland Royal Hospital is provided by County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. We run general dermatology clinics and clinics for patients referred with potential skin cancers. There is also a dermatology service based at Bunny Hill Primary Care Centre, which provides care to approximately 400 patients per week.

The department offers local accessible, high quality dermatology and minor surgery services in a primary care setting, shifting care closer to home from hospital and into community settings. The aim of the service is to provide local accessible, high quality dermatology services in a primary care setting closer to home. Our teams acknowledge that our patients have a wide range of problems and strive to treat everyone with individual care in a professional and sensitive manor. We strive to be non-judgemental in our attitude and care of all our patients.
